Lottery tickets at the bus stop
Today I left a lottery ticket and two handmade angels at the bus stop for someone to find, as a part of my random act of kindness project. I was going to put another lottery ticket at another bus stop but I noticed a man holding a sign, asking for work, so I gave the second ticket to him.

Christmas cups of lollies
Every Christmas, my children and I buy some paper cups and decorate them with Christmas stickers. Then we fill these with Christmas lollies and give them to people in the community and to family and friends. This simple act of kindness is still bringing me so many blessings. I gave a cup to a person I would not normally give a cup to and that person is still giving back to me, several times a week. It amazes me what one simple act of kindness has given me and my family. You just never know when your act of kindness might change someone's life. And it could be YOUR life that is changed.

Easter Eggs and Notes at Church
Today I went to church and gave out easter eggs with a note saying "You are so loved". People were very happy to receive the gift, especially the note. The minister even used the note in the service. One of the ladies asked me where my bunny ears were, which made me laugh. I had an awesome time.

Free Easter Eggs at the local shops
Today I went to the shops with a large basket of easter eggs and chocolates. I stuck little notes on them saying "Happy Easter" and drew smiley faces. I walked around the shops and simply asked people if they would like an easter egg. I went to the shops three times before I felt happy. At first I was feeling a bit shy about handing out chocolate to strangers but most people wanted one and several were very pleased. What I liked most was even those who didn't want one were very happy to have been asked. I don't think I have spoken to that many strangers before. I didn't feel shy at the end of it.

Lottery tickets in the mail
Today I decided to post some $1 scratchie lottery tickets to people. This is a quick, inexpensive and easy random act of kindness. An act of kindness doesn't have to cost much. It can be free too.

Coins for Parking Ticket Machines
I like to leave $5 in coins taped to parking ticket machines. Just take a small clear bag and put coins in it and write "Please take me - Random Act of Kindness" or something similar. I also like to place one of my kindness cards and a piece of paper saying "You are so loved" in the bag with the coins.
Today my children and I did this, on the ticket machine near school. That afternoon, we received an email from the person who found the money. He was very happy to receive the gift and especially liked the "You are so loved" paper included with the coins. It was an awesome day for me and for the person who received the random act of kindness.
My kindness cards have a number on them and you can track your act of kindness. My aim is to start as many acts of kindness as possible (28 done so far). It is my hope that the people who find my gifts will then do an act of kindness for someone else and so forth. The possibilities are amazing. I also hope that many people will email and tell me about the acts of kindness so I can track the cards and share the card's journey. So far two of my cards have been found and one person has already continued the kindness.

Coins in Telephone Boxes
I like to leave $5 in coins in telephone boxes. This is very easy and very quick to do. I like to make a quick exit when doing random acts of kindness because I don't want anyone to know who I am. Anonymous is much more fun. : ) Just take a small clear bag and put coins in it and write "Please take me - Random Act of Kindness" or something similar. I also like to place one of my kindness cards and a piece of paper saying "You are so loved" in the bag with the coins.
Books at Bus Stops
Leaving a book at a bus stop is a lot of fun. My children like to do this. I place the book in a clear bag (to protect it from water/rain) and tape a sign on the front "Please Take Me - Random Act of Kindness" and draw a smiley face on it. I also like to place one of my kindness cards and a piece of paper saying "You are so loved" in the bag with the book. There have been many times in my life when I would have loved a book on my bus trip.
Free Chocolate
One of my favourite kindness ideas is to buy a lot of chocolate bars (when they are 99 cents) then start handing them out to random people. It is quite interesting to see who will accept one and who will not. I often wonder if people believe chocolate isn't healthy so they won't take one for this reason.
I love to do this idea with my children. The only issue with it is they insist on having one of the chocolates to share, which makes me laugh. But we should be kind to ourselves so I always let them have one.
I have a large basket of easter eggs and chocolates ready and will be giving them out on Saturday. Quite excited about it.

Kindness and Me
This is a blog about me and my mission to do small random acts of kindness in the world. I believe kind acts bring more light and love to the world. I have had many wonderful experiences and been a part of many kindness projects but I wanted to start my own project, with my own kindness cards. You can read about the project at happyfunjoytreasures.blogspot.com.
My "Kindness and Me" blog is about my adventure in random acts of kindness, including kindness ideas and insights I've had along the way. Thank you for reading and being a part of my adventure.
I am an author of meditation books for children and adults, I love doing my random acts of kindness project (happyfunjoytreasures.blogspot.com), I love sharing my acts of kindness to inspire others (kindnessandme.blogspot.com) and I love experimenting with manifesting fun, beautiful and awesome things into my life (hellouniversecanyouhearme.blogspot.com).
